What are private labels?

Private labels are products that are sold by a retailer under its own brand. They are always backed by manufacturers of "normal" branded contact lenses who produce the products for the retailer.

Why are there private labels?

Private labels are offered by retailers to differentiate themselves from other retailers. Retailers can sell the products under their own brand and thus retain customers.
It is probably also the case that retailers can buy the products more cheaply and thus make a higher profit. But we are not entirely sure. In any case, the price of private labels is beyond the control of the manufacturers of "normal" brand contact lenses.
It is also not possible to compare prices and a retailer can set the prices for his private label contact lenses as high as he likes.

How was the list of trademarks created?

We have compiled the list of private labels from various sources and will continue to expand this list. If you have the data of the private label contact lens and compare data such as diameter / radius, material and water content, you can find out the original products relatively quickly. In some cases, the names of the original products are printed on the blister of the contact lens.
